About The Clinic

This clinic is for beginner to intermediate young surfer girls.

A unique program teaching the beauty of surfing and the basics of how to stand on a board or how to progress to the next level. Surf education that is fun and empowering!!!!  Surfing is about connecting with nature and our impact on our environment. We have a fun program that will teach the girls how to express how surfing makes them feel through art and creativity. Making bracelets and using Surf Paints to decorate their surfboards to reflect all the magic of the ocean. Give your child the opportunity to find their rhythm in the ocean by learning how to read the waves. They will feel confident and in control no matter what the ocean has to offer.

SURF SESSIONS
The girls will learn how to pop up and ride waves with control and style, They will learn the correct technique to paddling and board positioning and also how to turn and even do manoeuvres. This clinic is for girls who are beginner to intermediate and with our highly trained coaches we will get them loving their surfing and wanting to learn more.

CREATIVITY
We are so lucky to have amazing coaches who are not only skilled in surfing but also skilled in craft. Our head coach Millie also has her own jewellery business and is offering her skills to the girls for the 3 days teaching them how to create at bracelet they will love. We also have an amazing partnership with Surf Paints and we want to offer the girls the ability to get creative and design a one of a kind surf board artwork that they will love.

If your daughter is not creative or is not sure about how to draw thats totally fine as we will provide ideas and inspiration for the girls to work with and the coaches will help them every step of the way.

Chix Surf School is simply AMAZING.  My daughter has had lessons and has been attending the holiday clinics since the very beginning, she wouldn’t dare miss one.  The surf coaching is second to none but Chix is so much more than a Surf School.

Aside from the brilliant technical instruction, the warm, fun and welcoming Chix coaches, led by the incredibly talented Gee, teach their students to read and understand the ocean, to learn how their bodies move and can adapt in the water, they instil confidence in girls and women in a way no other surf school does.

This is a surf school that offers so much more to females than any other.  It is a community who love the ocean, offer brilliant coaching, incredible support and Gee always has the most beautiful team.  My daughter has been so lucky to have been part of Chix for years, learning about the ocean, learning new skills and learning about herself.  We are very lucky to have Gee and Chix Surf School on the Northern Beaches!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Millie and I am a Chix Surf School Coach specialising in Beginner/Intermediate surfing.

I started surfing when I was 13 years old (I am 28 now) in a little town in Argentina. One day my brothers started shaping surfboards and opened a surf school, where I began teaching. After coaching for a couple of years, I came to the realisation that I love to see people smiling, feeling challenged but having heaps of fun, connecting with nature and following the dream of riding eternal waves.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR THIS CLINIC?

Yes this clinic is for young girls aged 8 - 13 yrs old.

WHAT IF MY DAUGHTER DOESN'T HAVE HER OWN BOARD AND WETSUIT?

Don't worry at all if your daughter does not have her own equipment as we have all that they need so as long as you pop in the application that they need a board and wetsuit (and their size) our coaches will have equipment ready for them for each day of the clinic.

DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO BOOK FOR THE 3 DAYS?

These clinics are designed to help the girls progress with their surfing and to do this we need a few days with them to be able to allow them to practice and learn new things. It is also a great way to build new friendships and understand the different conditions the ocean can have and how to learn to ready these changes.

DOES MY DAUGHTER NEED TO BRING HER OWN FOOD AND DRINK?

These clinics we do not provide food as each family has different food needs and likes so we are that all food and drinks are brought from home the your child is able to have the right food for each day of activity.

WHAT IF MY DAUGHTER CAN'T DRAW?

No need to worry about art skills as we will be right there with them to help them explore their creative side in a fun and positive space.

WHAT LEVEL DOES MY DAUGHTER HAVE TO BE TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE?

This clinic is designed for beginner to intermediate surfers and our coaches will be focusing of giving each child individual feedback and tips to help with their surfing what ever stage they are at.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GIRLS AT THE CLINIC?

This clinic will allow for 16 girls with 3 coaches and an assistant coach so there will be plenty of coaches to assist all the girls and a good group of girls to hang with throughout the 3 days.
