About Our Father & Daughter Sessions

The Father & Daughter lessons are aimed at allowing the father to help with the progression of their child’s surfing in a positive fun environment. From the basics of how to safely take the child into the water, to pushing them onto a waves using certain techniques which allows the child to progress and have fun learning how to surf and feel confident in the ability of their parents.

The techniques that we teach in this class help create a strong, safe and trusting environment for fathers and daughters which allows them to create a relationship that is purely based around their enjoyment of the sport and their passion for the water. This will give the father skills that he is able to continuously use during the progression of their child’s surfing experience.

These classes can also be for mothers and daughter and mothers and sons.

I love surfing and contact with the sea. It is the place where I spend most of my time and I would not change it for anything! It brings out the best in me, in the Ocean I am happy. Surfing my longboard is like dancing on the waves! I love working with a group of women, inspiring them to surf, breaking the fear and above all having fun. Emily Dawson

Hi everyone! My name is Emily, and I am a coach at Chix Surf School specialising in beginner surfing and beginner On Land training coaching.

I was introduced to the ocean as a kid growing up around the beaches, and participating in nippers.
