Learning to surf in small groups will give you a huge advantage. In our lessons you will learn; ocean safety and etiquette, ocean and wave positioning, paddling and catching waves, control, standing up and riding waves.

Learning to surf in a group can be the funniest way to learn, being able to share the surfing experience with friends, family or just like minded people allows you to share in the joy of the sport. Small group lessons are not only a great way to learn the skills of surfing but also allow you to observe other peoples techniques which can help in the progression of your own surfing ability. Our happy and professional coaches are able to not only give you a great surfing experience but also have you walking away with awesome memories and helpful handy surfing skills.

I'm not a very strong swimmer...can I learn to surf?

Many people ask this question and the answer is yes, you don’t have to be a strong swimmer to learn how to surf. With beginner lessons you are only in the shore line and there is always an instructor with you helping and guiding you on what you need to do. It is important that you do have a basic understanding of how to swim and if you choose to keep going with the sport you will naturally build up your paddling power over time.

I have surfed a few times before. Is this the right lesson for me?

The group lessons accommodate for all surfing abilities, you will be matched up with other people at the same surfing level as you so that you are getting the most out of the lesson and you are surfing and learning from the other students around you.

We have a group of friends. Can we book a private group lesson?

People are able to book in for a friend’s private group lesson, depending on the numbers will determine the cost per person.
